our JOURNEY

After training alongside Olympians and world champions, Coach Jon lost the ability to express himself through performing in the square circle due to a career ending concussion in his 2012 Olympic run. However, he found himself again in the sport through teaching and coaching. 

1997
Coach Jon competed in martial arts since the age of five - starting with a Filipino martial arts called Sikaran.

He would transition to boxing when he was 16.
2012
While preparing for a shot to the 2012 London Olympics, he suffered a concussion during sparring. It would turn out to be career-ending for him.
